Suggestion TRUSTED SELLER RANK?

Unfortunately, "trust" is quite opinionated and can't be only based on vouches or reputation. Some people simply give away $0.01 licenses for an easy reputation or vouch. It would require manual review, but even then, it can be abused and manipulated.

So basically a tag for people to exit scam or just scam in general? New people will think they're trustworthy and deal without thinking twice.

 

Literally anybody can work their way up to a certain amount of rep, receive this rank and then use it to scam some kids allowance. Not a good look for the people giving these ranks out aka the admins.

I see where both of you are coming from, however the Trusted rank has worked on other forums where people have not based the role on Rep/Vouches, but rather the sum of their deals, how active they are on site etc.

Try adding a seperate "Vouches" Section rather than just a rep section, where people can only Vouch after a deal and it is required to show exactly how much the deal was for, to link the sales thread and add a comment to the deal, this would make it much less easy for MM scams, as people will only really be using trusted MMs, as you said, rep can be easily abused by selling 1c licenses , so that makes it hard to trust anyone really. A trusted role would be a medium to completely shut down MM scams, and with more MMs, theres less overall scams

I honestly agree with your opinion. It is very sad to see that the reputation system is not only used for successful deals.

Courteousness doesn't represent someone as a trustable person. You have to remember. This is the internet; everyone is anonymous, no one is legit there. No one can be trusted on because everyone's interest is MONEY!
