Hello guys, I've recently been reviewing prices of Logos for an upcoming Network and I discovered that they were all very expensive or were on the verge. So I decided to try and create my own Logo, I've created some simple icons and backgrounds in the past. So, what do you think?
its decent, looks like something out of a MMORPG from 2005 xP. Id suggest making it more clear its for a minecraft server however its decent as is Banned Reason: Admitting to Scamming #6838 (GlitchAlts) Ban Ends: Never
I wanted to venture out of the ordinary, I've seen too many similar Minecraft Logos with all the sparkles etc. I used some inspiration, including Hypixel's logo. When used the logo will look like this...
well less sharp of a font looks a bit harsh Banned Reason: Admitting to Scamming #6838 (GlitchAlts) Ban Ends: Never
well draw it less sharp then xD. it just looks a bit harsh to look at its ok thats just my suggestion Banned Reason: Admitting to Scamming #6838 (GlitchAlts) Ban Ends: Never
I would say a few things. Firstly, your lines are much too pixelated. Get them cleaner using a better software. Same goes for the shading. The text itself has a really weird font, with the letters uneven in width. I see the theme you are trying to emulate but it just doesn't work with these thin letters. Either go bigger and stick to a baseline, or rework the style. The 'Network' has waaay too much stroke on it. The entire thing is slightly blurry, and never put a gradient on the stroke (outline), it never looks good. Maybe try doing a cleaner vector of it, or go more illustrative.
Well thank you guys for the feedback. Im going to restructure the logo firstly to make it 3D and secondly to improve the colours and fonts. I will try and add some minecraft elements too.
Thats nice. Good to see some older styled stuff coming back rather than just material design. Probably seems a bit contradicting when its coming from a guy with a material style pfp, but my real forte is old style art (graffiti to be precise). I'm working on a new version of the logo, its a bit different but here's the latest sketch. https://prnt.sc/gm8m87
Yo! Hit me up with some graffiti. These days I do digital graffiti all the time. My instagram if you wanna check out my work: https://www.instagram.com/re.sk/ If you're interesting we could colab some time. [ Double Post Merged - ( New Post Date: Sep 18, 2017 ) - ] Ditch the underline in my opinion. Try go for straighter letters. Use bars in your letters, try to emulate keyboard letters. Make them stand tall and bold, not too shaky. Use a baseline, make them all stick to the same base. Make them just a bit straighter and it'll be decent. Same as your 3D shadow, it has to work with the letters.
