This guide runs through how to install Java OpenJDK for Linux based operating systems, please consult the documentation provided by Oracle for other operating systems such as MacOS or Windows.
Confirm The Server's Internet Connection
Installing programs require an internet connection, verify it using the following command.

Update the Software
Operating systems by default may not contain the necessary files to properly operate.
For CentOS, run the following command. Add "sudo" in front if you are not logged in as the root user.
