- Removed the ability to invite into groups due to abuse of the system.
- Added a new Minecraft account flagging system for our moderators.
- Accounts flagged as insecure will have '(!)' preceding them in profiles.
- Minecraft accounts can now be searched by their username or UUID in one simple form located on our Minecraft Association page.
- If results are found, you will be automatically redirected to the associated user's profile.
- We've upgraded to a new system to prevent members from setting "View Your Profile Page" to "People You Follow Only."
- This repairs an exploit which allowed the bypassing through editing the form.
- Upgraded our animated avatar restricting system to make processing faster and more efficient.
- Added a new "Thread Starter" banner in most forum nodes.
- Upgraded to Font Awesome 5.3.1
- We've begun further ensuring our systems are running smoothly through additional file health checks.
- Improved our caching systems.
- All account upgrade coupons will be disabled on October 5, 2018. Please redeem them prior to then. If you fail to do so, you must provide the associated PayPal transaction ID for manual application unless they were provided as a perk of being an active member of MCTrades.

We've once again partnered with Craftathon this year to help raise funds for Child's Play Charity, a charitable organization which donates toys and games to children's hospitals worldwide. Craftathon is a yearly, weekend-long event where popular members of the Minecraft community can play in real time with their fans in Minecraft.

- We will be discontinuing the sale of coupon codes on September 5, 2018 at 00:00 EST and disabling all coupon codes on October 5, 2018 at 00:00 EST.
- Please utilize coupon codes prior to September 5, 2018 or you may be unable to claim your upgrade(s) associated with them.
- While we understand that there is a use to coupon codes for account upgrades, we find that the system behind it is ineffective at properly completing its duties and provides some interference with other systems.
- Updated some embed codes such as Amazon and MSNBC.
- Removed the drafts link node from public (guest) view.
- Fixed an issue causing the inability to purchase resources.
- This issue resulted in an error prior to being directed to the payment gateway.

- Applicable upgrades will now have their username styling automatically applied to your account.
- We get it, not many people feel like creating a ticket for those minor things. During charity events, the Charitable medal will be purchasable through Account Upgrades and will be automatically applied. Upon gifting an upgrade valued at or above $5.00 USD to another member, enjoy automatically receiving the Generous medal. Feel like supporting MCTrades? Our $5, $25, and $100 donation medals are now also available for purchase on the Account Upgrades page.
- Just love clicking buttons and realized the floating dispute creation button didn't work? Well, don't worry. Both the stationary and floating buttons now direct you to the dispute creation form, so keep on clicking.
- We've removed the "Alpha" resource prefix and renamed "BETA" to "Beta."
- Let's say you like creating drafts. But then, you lose track of your drafts and can't find the one you created a minute ago. Stop losing drafts. We've switched it from being alphabetically sorted to sorted by date.

Over the past month, our team has worked to improve your experience here at MCTrades. One of the minor changes in which assists both the members of our community in terms of bandwidth and time along with the stability of our services is changing how our defer system runs. By default, the XenForo platform makes visitors of a forum run a deferred process. These can be said to be cron entries. While this does provide the benefit of only executing while members are online, we have members online around the clock. Instead, we've completely removed the defer trigger from pages and it is now executed by our server automatically.
A new dispute notice has been created to improve the chances of receiving a response. The notice cannot be dismissed until the defendant responds.
For our moderators, we've created an entirely new line of preset warnings. All of them have expires at this time. Warnings that include a caution banner, account limitations, and/or feedback limitations may now also have their titles customized to make knowing what you did wrong that day even faster.
On June 22nd...or June 23rd for those of you on the other side of the world, we completed a thorough diagnostic in relation to connectivity problems while using specific protocols. We released a patch within hours of being notified regarding the issue and the maintenance period's data will be used to make a more permanent solution to the error. On March 5th, we executed an unplanned maintenance period due to such downtime. During this, we quarantined the MCTrades installation from other MCTrades services such as Discord bots, providing better security and reliability for both installations.

As February has come to an end, so has our American Cancer Society charity event! Soon following the introduction of the event, we received a very generous donation that surpassed our goal of $250. We accordingly doubled the target, making the total $500. Here's where we stand:
We've raised a total of $475! As we are so close to the goal, I will be covering the $25 to round it up to $500.

As most of you know, we went through a maintenance period last night! During this time, we identified certain bugs and their causes, and the majority of them are now fixed. Please remember that at any time you can create a bug report and let us know if you're experiencing trouble.
Now, onto some of our updates! As many of you may have noticed, we added a new Cloudflare splash page. This was added for security purposes, and we hope it will generally optimize the site! Understandably, the page is rather dull as of now; as such, if any of you have any suggestions surrounding its design, I highly recommend making a suggestion thread. We'd love to know what you think!
Beyond that, as you may remember, we announced last month that we were migrating to a new tickets system. We've been working to ensure this tickets system is quick, efficient, and overall user-friendly. Some notable updates to the system from last month include:

These stats are absolutely insane. Had I been told last year MCTrades was going to grow this big, I'd have laughed and sent the messenger to an asylum. It is thanks to you all for getting us to this point

General Site Changes
Seasonal Snow - We hope you enjoyed our Christmas theme! While the logo and forum styling changes were temporary (or at least until a proper Winter theme is formed for Emerald members), snow will remain a permanent addition to the site! The snow will be displayed seasonally, so you won't be experiencing any chilly summer days on the forum...that is, unless you wish to always keep it on in your preferences! To toggle snow at any time, open your account preferences menu and select/deselect whichever options fancy you!
